Happy Fishes!

Fresh from the kiln, happy fishes bowls!! I am pisces and I like the fishes I made, they are smiling.

Sometimes, I heard people saying "oh, i did it before" I believed it is not what others did that matter me, it is what i did that is important to me. It is true that art required talent, but more it required hard working, it is through millions times work, one becomes an artist; with passion, skill, experience and insight. Bit by bit, i am accumulating and thank you for being with me in this path.

Custom order for someone - 7 colorful cups for all her pens. It feels great knowing that I could provide a little something to enrich people's daily life. Art could be simple, it depends on how you see it!

My Flying Angel ChuChu

My rabbits really fly like this!!! not joking!!! If I add a string, I can hang Chuchu somewhere too!

What are they!!

They are friend's rabbits, stay at my house now during her holiday and they are really cute! Watching them walking around is like watching 2 mops or 2 dogs or 2 wool balls, etc.. Unfortunately, Chuchu doesn't like outside rabbits and Meowmeow is too scare, so they cannot play together.

Dec MAAD has been busy! Even better news - my rabbit items are hot!!! Thank you very much for your support and sorry for those who cannot get my rabbit cups yet, I will try my best to get some cups ready asap, just that I cannot speed up the making process.... , will update everyone once they are ready!

I am so tired but also feel lucky that I can do what I like and recognized by others.

I know some of you may still need gift for Christmas, will upload pictures of available items shortly, so u can contact me if interested.

Coming MAAD Sunday

Will be at MAAD Sunday this Sat/Sun, 1 & 2 Dec, 11am-7pm.

Tried hard to make more but firing has not completed yet, only limited new items so grab them quickly! Above pic is one of new set, 2 tea cups and one bowl, special stone feel clay.

If u wanted to order something for Christmas, last order is this weekend. I plan to take a break from Jan & Feb MAAD, but you could still order via mail or sms me, will also upload new work on blog. Plan to work work work and to have new new items next year!

For coming MAAD, I will also have some 2008 House Rabbit Society Singapore (HRSS) Calendar for sale, it is for fund raising for HRSS, please support!

AVA Roadshow

It was really nice meeting old and new friends at HRSS counter during AVA roadshow last Sat/Sun, although a bit exhausted after the 2 days! On behalf of all rabbits, I have to thank you for your support on HRSS!

I am addicted to all sort of painting effect on pot recently, there will be more to come before it is perfect. Too many things to make, too little time. Sometimes, I will work on th wheel

for few hours before I realized, don't know how long my body could do this, sure my heart could go on though.

I am kind of lazy upload every item i have made so far, it would be thousand of pics, too much to load. But I will upload a bit more now since people really visit my blog.
Another new ringholder, fresh from the kiln! This is a bit bigger, I have 2 more smaller one under process, preparing for Dec 1 & 2 MAAD Christmas stall!Lovely plate, hard to make though. Difficult to manage the slip in a nice clean way. I am satisfied with the effect, may make some more when I have time.
Personal collection, it is just too cute and lazy, ideal for coffee drinking during boring meeting. BTW, rabbit really rest like that when they are totally relax !

Eat less meat, save the Earth?!

I read on newspaper yesterday, according to Japanese scientiests, 1kg of beef generates (counting everything during the livestock production) the equivalent of 36.4kg of carbon dioxide, more than the equivalent of driving for 3 hrs while leaving all the lights on back home.

A study published by The Lancet suggested people in rich countries should limit their meat intake to the equivalent of 1 hamburger per person per day to help stave off global warming. At present, the global average meat consumption is 100g per person per day, which varies fm 200g-250g in rich countries to 20g-25g in poor countries.

I think I kind of can do this! After I have my bunnies and started Yoga, I always feel that I should not eat meat. However, I am a food lover, it is difficult for me so I think at least I could eat less. I hope our mother earth could heal someday!

CATS

My friend's cats are enjoying their afternoon in the surrounding, she has 5 local cats. They are not that special on this pic, but they are really awesome when u are living with them. They remind me meowmeow & chuchu everyday while I stayed with my friend.

New Teapot

New custom-made pot fresh from the kiln last week, very smooth effect.

Home Sweet Home

Finally have moved my place from town to East, though it costs more and is much smaller, it is a quiet place. Unfortunately, the waterpipe down under kitchen floor was leaking before i moved in, the contractor has to come and install external waterpipe, it took 4 whole days work plus the mover moving my things and unpacking, I think i am doing very well finished everthing in a week time. So now me and meowmeow chuchu can restart normal life. The kiln at workshop also fixed so I will go workshop next Monday to see whether i have anything out from the kiln.

Now, nothing is better than having a cup of tea at home!!

Kiln is still out of order

Kiln still out of order, very slow week but seems good that I can spare more time to pack for the move of house. Cannot wait to move out from town, the constructions have been so bad that I cannot do anything at home.

Outdoor MAAD

Just came back from "Culture by the Bay", another outdoor MAAD event along riverside, outside Asia Civilization Museum. It was raining heavily and business is real bad for me. Luckily all the participants are very nice people and it was not so bad. I was also surprised that every morning I have to tell what is Asia Civilization Museum and where it is to the taxi driver. (how can they get their taxi license without knowing the most popular tourist spot?)

I will be at Red Dot Museum coming Sat/Sun, please drop by and visit me. Will try to clear my inventory before I move house 2 weeks later, so all items will be at lowest price!!

Out of Order

The kiln at workshop has broken down!!! It is a blue week for me! I got lots of pending pots waiting for firing, a few custom orders and a pendent for my friend sitting on the shelf. Dear old and tired kiln, please get back to work!

MAAD Sunday

Another MAAD Sunday mission completed! Since it was their one year birthday, we even have games and free candy, it was good fun.

There is a coming outdoor one on 28 & 29 July, then the regular one on 4th & 5th August. I am a bit worry now since the kiln at workshop has just broken down. I wish they will fix it asap or else I will have very limited pots for coming events. And I need to complete my custom made order by early Sept too. Even worst I am busy looking around for moving to a new apt ... ... anyone has any place for rent ?

Colde Noodle Cup

Traditional Japanese cold noodle cups, I like the shape and they are easy to store. It is also very nice with plants and flowers. I have made a set of 5 different pattern last time, all sold. So hopefully can make a few more for own collection.

Coming MAAD Market on 7 & 8 July

I will be participating MAAD Sunday on 7 & 8 July (11am-7pm), it is a monthly market for local designers & artists at Red Dot Design Museum (next to White House and next to Tanjong Pagar MRT). My table will be inside (simply follow the air-con), feel free to drop by my table and have nice chat or get something unique for yourself.

It is also 1 yr anniversary for MAAD Sunday so they will have some games and so on for you to enjoy more!
